Love, Always

You are loved.

Right now, in this moment…

Thousands of people at hundreds of organizations are working tirelessly to prevent, treat, and cure cancer—and other serious illnesses.

Thousands of monks are practicing Tonglen meditation, breathing in the world’s suffering, breathing out light, peace and love, and sending it to you.

People across the nation are logged online, willing and waiting to pray for you.

People are getting ready to plant free community gardens to bring fresh fruits and vegetables to neighborhoods that need it most.

Health experts are leading free fitness classes so that you can move, get stronger, and feel better, even if you can’t afford a gym membership.

People are waiting on the street, ready to give you a hug, just hoping you’ll say “yes.”

Drivers are willing to bring a delivery of kittens to your doorstep if you want something warm and furry to cuddle.

Sanctuaries around the world are open night and day for people and animals, too.

Volunteers are standing by, ready to listen to you, hold space for you, and allow you to confidentially share any emotions that you need to share. Twenty-four hours a day.

Trained professionals—thousands of coaches and therapists just like me—are standing by, too, willing to sit with you, support you, plan with you, help you to understand yourself better, communicate better, reach your goals without so much friction and struggle, and help you to build the life that you want.

If you are cold, if you feel alone, if you feel lost or purposeless… if you are struggling with illness, trauma, a disappointing set-back, a break up or divorce… if you feel lonely, wishing you had a companion, a partner, or even just one real, true friend…

Know that you are loved.

Know that thousands upon thousands of people, including people that you’ve never even met, are present for you: meditating, praying, writing, working, researching, cooking and cheering for you.

You are never alone. You are never un-loved.

Love surrounds you. Love is everywhere.

. . .

Visualize yourself encircled, surrounded, completely saturated in love. Held in love’s arms, like being held in a mother’s embrace.

Remember that no matter what happened—or didn’t happen—in your life this past year, this moment is a new moment, tomorrow is a new day, and it is never too late to grow, evolve, learn new skills, build the life you’ve always wanted to lead, and become the person you’ve always wanted to be.

Enjoy these final hours of the year, knowing that whatever reasonable, “new chapter” you want to create in your life is more than likely within reach, and so many people want to help you reach it.

Until we “meet” again…
