Love, Always

An interesting question…

“Take care of your body. It’s the only place you have to live.”
—Jim Rohn

Have you ever held a newborn baby in your arms?

How did you hold that child?

I’m guessing you cradled the little one with tenderness, care, and reverence.

Your arms were gentle but firm, ensuring the child’s safety, pressed close to your heart.

If you were the parent of this child, and you were breastfeeding, I know you were watching what you ate (i.e., what you fed your baby). Alternatively, you were most likely giving your newborn the healthiest possible baby food. Only the best for your child. All natural, fresh, organic, if possible. Definitely no junk food or artificial nonsense!

You might also have whispered loving words, close to your child’s sweet face. “You are loved. You are safe. I will always take care of you.”

It is natural to give infants profound love and care. Their health and wellbeing is of the utmost importance. Their tiny, precious bodies are sacred, and we treat them accordingly.

And yet… many of us treat our own “grown up” bodies with carelessness, even neglect.

We don’t feed ourselves well, choosing low-quality foods over nutrient-rich, earth-grown options, or simply eating too much. We don’t keep ourselves hydrated properly. We skimp on sleep. Some people drink too much. Others say mean, hateful things to their reflections in the mirror. So many of us allow our stress levels to build and build until it’s all just too much.

So, here’s the question of the day:

How are you feeling in your body right now? Are you feeling vibrant, nourished and strong? Or is it time for a change? Time to start treating your body with the same level of nourishment and care that you might provide to a small child?

If you’d like to give your body some extra-special care, today, I invite you to treat yourself to my latest audio meditation… right here.

It’s called The “Feel Better” Meditation. 17 minutes of relaxation and healing to help you enjoy a more energized, focused, productive day. This meditation is especially good if you woke up feeling a little “blah” today. Enjoy to the fullest!

Take extra-special good care of your body this week. As Jim Rohn points out, it’s the only one you’ve got. And unlike investing in real estate or the stock market, investing in your health is one “personal investment” that always pays off, and that you will never, ever regret. :)
